Dr. Steven Licht
Dr. Steven C. Licht is proud to call Pittsburgh home. Originally from the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Dr. Licht graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and subsequently earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration along with a minor in Biology from Washington & Jefferson College. He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as Vice President of his class, was awarded the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society Academic Excellence Award and received numerous academic scholarships for scholastic achievement.
After graduating from Pittsburgh Dental School, Dr. Licht completed a four-year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He was trained to provide the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis in dental implant rehabilitation, orthognathic surgery, exodontia, ambulatory anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma, head and neck pathology, temporomandibular joint disease, and reconstruction of hard and soft tissues. During his training at UIC, he authored several publications and presented his research both nationally and internationally at the American and International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Annual Conferences.
Dr. Licht is also passionate about mission work and volunteering. He participated as a mission team member in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, as well as a dental care team member in the Dominican Republic. He looks forward to continuing his volunteer efforts both at home and abroad with his expertise as an Oral Surgeon. Dr. Licht is excited to return to his hometown of Pittsburgh to join North Pittsburgh Oral Surgery and provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to the members of his community.
