Education & Residency

Dr. Steven Licht is proud to call Pittsburgh home. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson high school and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a minor in Biology from Washington & Jefferson College. He then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Pittsburgh, where he served as Vice President was awarded the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society Academic Excellence Award in 2017 and 2018 and received several academic scholarships for scholastic achievement.

Certifications

After graduating from Pittsburgh, Dr. Licht completed a four- year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Illinois Chicago. He was trained to provide the full scope of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with an emphasis in dental implant rehabilitation, orthognathic surgery, exodontia, ambulatory anesthesia, maxillofacial trauma, head and neck pathology, temporomandibular joint disease, and reconstruction of hard and soft tissues. He also authored several publications and presented his research both nationally and internationally at the American and International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons annual conferences.

Interests

Dr. Licht has also participated as a mission team member in Cap-Haïtien, Haiti, and as a dental care team member in the Dominican Republic. He is passionate about local mission work as well, volunteering each year at the Pittsburgh Mission of Mercy by offering his expertise as a surgeon. Dr. Licht is excited to be practicing in his hometown of Pittsburgh to provide comprehensive patient centered- care to the members of his community.
