Dr. Gary S. Kreps
Dr. Gary S. Kreps received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and his Dental Degree from the University of Detroit, where he received the Lambda Chi Alpha International Scholarship for academic excellence. He completed a one-year General Practice residency at Veterans Administration Hospital in Detroit and a three year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Residency at Allegheny General Hospital, and has been specializing in oral surgery for more than 20 years. Dr. Kreps is currently on the Adjunct Teaching Staff at Allegheny General Hospital and he is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Drexel Medical School. He has been Chairman of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at UPMC Passavant Hospital, as well as past co-director of the OMS residency program at Allegheny General Hospital and member of the Life Flight Trauma Team. He currently is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. He was past president of the Western Pennsylvania Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and he is a member of the Chalmers J. Lyons Academy of Oral Surgery, Academy of Osseointegration, American Dental Association, Western Pennsylvania Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the Pennsylvania Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Kreps is also a published author and a frequent lecturer in the field of oral surgery. He is an active member of the community, having donated his time to the American Heart Association, the North Hills Amateur Hockey Association, and the Fox Chapel Area High School Hockey Club.
